A rectangular hinged box on four small bracket feet. The sides curve inward and flare back out at a moulded band near the base, and the lid has a raised, bevelled panel. The shape is architectural, and it looks good from the side as well as from above.
Pewter, lined inside with reddish wood. Unmarked. Art Deco lines.
The lining is in good shape, and the lid sits flat when closed. Use it on a desk or dresser for jewellery, letters or keys.
