English Argent Hammered Pewter Tray
A large rectangular pewter tray made in England by Argent Pewter, most likely in the late 1920s. The centre is hammered all over, and the raised rim has a narrow border of small diamonds on a pebbled ground. Two squared handles are set into the short ends.
The surface has built up a dark, uneven patina over the years, with the hammering showing through in lighter patches. It works as a serving tray, on an ottoman, or leaning against the wall behind a few objects on a shelf.
43 x 26.5 cm including handles.
Condition: good vintage condition. Dark oxidation patches and fine scratches to the surface and underside, consistent with age and use. Stamped Argent Pewter English Made on the underside.
